Welcome to our farm.

It all began when Samantha went to a friend’s baby shower. Driving by the old white farmhouse with the massive red barn, she texted Caleb “I think I’ve found our dream house!” Fast forward a few months and they were all moved in and ready to break ground on their new vegetable garden.

Along with the tomatoes, carrots, and broccoli, they decided to plant some flowers.

Well, the veggies failed to grow, but the flowers thrived. Thus, the idea for a fresh-cut flower farm was born!

From our family,

to yours

For us, growing flowers is a family experience. It starts in January when the seed catalogs start coming in and we spend hours deciding together which varieties to grow. In spring, the kids help as we sow seeds. Once the plants are in the ground, everyone wants to be involved with watering and harvesting!

  • Caleb

Meet the muscle behind the farm! Caleb is responsible for all tilling, building, and power-tool-requiring tasks. He grew up helping his grandparents on their flower farm in Pennsylvania and is thrilled to be carrying on a family tradition!

  • Samantha

For the daily tasks, Sam is your girl! She takes care of the farm planning, emails, and marketing. She’s also the main harvester and designer!

  • The Kids

These guys make farm work fun! They are always willing to lend a hand with the hose and find unique uses for damaged or spent stems. They provide distraction and laughs when the work gets tough and keep us motivated!

FAQs

  • We are located about 15 minutes north of Syracuse in Pennellville, New York.

While the farm is closed to visitors, except by appointment, the farm stand is open most days! You can visit the stand at 318 Center Road, Pennellville, NY 13132.

  • Our farm stand is open with fresh bouquets most days from July through September.

The farm itself is only open during scheduled U-Pick events (with ticket) or by appointment.

  • “CSA” stands for Community Supported Agriculture. At Ludlow Farms, this refers to our bouquet subscription programs.

In a CSA, the customer pays in advance for a product that they will receive later on. When you purchase a subscription, you are partnering directly with us. Your subscription cost funds the seeds, soil amendments, and irrigation that grows the flowers that we sell.

Our Summer Bouquet CSA runs from July through August. Subscribers receive one bouquet a week for eight weeks.

  • We do not currently offer event floral services. However, you can order a “DIY Bloom Bucket” to create your own bouquets and centerpieces! We work with you to determine the number of buckets you’ll need and provide you with a variety of focal flowers and foliage.
